چکیده
Heat stress (HS) and water (WS) pose severe threats to viticulture, effective management solutions counter their effects on grapevine performance must be examined. In this study, we evaluated the physiological spectral responses of Vitis vinifera L. cv. Sauvignon blanc individual combined (HS + WS) under four different cooling irrigation strategies. The treatments were: standard drip (SI), extra (SI+), sprinklers (SPRI), sustained deficit (SDI; 50% SI). Compared other treatments, in early stages after occurrence HS, vine status SPRI SI+ improved, with high stomatal conductance (gs) (SPRI) stem potential (Ψstem; SI+). All indicators measured were significantly lower end HS SDI treatment. We also identified response WS (resulting from SDI). Consistent analysis, proximal leaves as putative strategies minimize HS. vines undergoing (SDI) showed greenness amelioration 10 days stress, revealed by vegetation indices (VIs), i.e., Green Index (GI), Normalized Difference Greenness Vegetation (NDGI), Visible Atmospherically Resistant (VARI). However, recovery was not achieved within time, shown Simple Ratio (SRI), Transformed Chlorophyll Absorption (TCARI), TCARI/Optimized Soil-Adjusted (TCARI/OSAVI). A three-step band selection process allowed identification traits’ responsive 1336–1340 nm, 1967–1971 600–604 nm.

Physiological responses of Celtis caucasica L. and Robinia pseudoacacia L. to the cadmium and lead stresses
Afforestation of contaminated areas is considered as a possible strategy for reduction of contaminations. In the present study, the effects of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) were investigated on chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (Fv/Fm, Fo, and Fm), photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, and total chlorophyll), and proline in one-year-old seedlings of Celtis caucasica and Robinia pseudoacacia...

Modelling leaf photosynthetic and transpiration temperature-dependent responses in Vitis vinifera cv. Semillon grapevines growing in hot, irrigated vineyard conditions
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Grapevines growing in Australia are often exposed to very high temperatures and the question of how the gas exchange processes adjust to these conditions is not well understood. The aim was to develop a model of photosynthesis and transpiration in relation to temperature to quantify the impact of the growing conditions on vine performance. METHODOLOGY Leaf gas exchange was...

Sustainability of rice production under limited water conditions is threatened by increasing irrigation water scarcity. Therefore, physiological and morphological responses of rice to varying water stress management strategies should be determined. The physiological and morphological responses of a semi dwarf rice (Hashemi cultivar) to water stress intensities (mild and severe, i.e., short-dura...
